Home Is Not A Place, It’s A Feeling.
The interior space in question was previously filled with a traditional wood look, which had given the house a dull and outdated feel. The goal of the revamp was to brighten up the space and give it a timeless look that would incorporate historic elements.
The common bedrooms were hacked down and unified into one, producing a bigger space for hosting and doubles as a guest room. To achieve this, the decision was made to go with a neutral color palette, which would provide a clean and fresh backdrop for the areas.
Additionally, Victorian design touches were added, which helped to infuse the space with a sense of history and elegance. The walls and cornices were spray-painted a crisp white, which immediately lightened up the room and created a blank canvas for the new design elements. Shaker doors were installed to add textures and volume. The end result was a beautiful and timeless room that successfully incorporated historic elements while still feeling fresh and modern.
