Maximized Space, Maximized Potential.
When it comes to interior design, tight spaces can be a challenging but rewarding project to undertake. This project is an example of a space that is tight on space but made efficient through careful planning and carpentry design.
Our homeowner requested a functional and modern living space that would be able to accommodate all their necessary lifestyle equipment, while still being visually appealing and comfortable to use.
With the absence of a utility area, we opted with a custom carpentry design that included built-in cabinets and shelves, to maximize the use of the limited space available. The cabinets were installed all the way up to the ceiling, making full use of the vertical space available. This not only provided ample storage space but also created a clean and uncluttered look. To further enhance the functionality of the kitchen, we considered the placement of each appliance and piece of equipment. For example, the refrigerator was positioned at the end of the kitchen, next to the door, to minimize the amount of floor space it occupied. Plenty of counter space was available for food preparation and cooking.
Finally, together with our homeowners, we added several decorative elements to the to enhance this home’s aesthetic appeal. A bold color scheme, consisting of a mix of white, subtle blue, pink and purple were used to create a sleek and modern look. The lighting fixtures were carefully selected to provide ample illumination, while also serving as a decorative feature. Through careful planning and carpentry design, a confined space was transformed into an efficient and functional home.
